Summary
1. Act as day-to-day Intelligent Customer lead for all physical development infrastructure and activities taking place on outdoor sports facilities on behalf of CO, TEM. This will include overseeing the delivery of the maintenance contract for all sports pitches, regular liaison with Sports Officers and daily correspondence with the facilities booking office.
2. Responsible to the CO for the health & safety of all pitches, buildings and grounds associated with the outdoor sports facilities. This will include ensuring all are H&S compliant, the pitches have their annual certification for use, managing the facilities defect log and acting as building custodian for the facilities.
3. Oversee the management of facility booking requests from all sports clubs, outside organisations and individuals ensuring they comply with service requirements in relation to the hire of facilities in accordance with Defence Infrastructure Organisation policies.
4. Line manage 3 civil servant TEM lifeguards, manage the swimming pool timetable, lifeguard roster to include casual lifeguards required for weekend shifts and swimming pool defect log. This will include close liaison with all contractors, Naval Base Helpdesk and Service personnel.
5. Deliver monthly lifeguard training to all pool staff essential for the safe running of a military pool, this will include conducting and delivering royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) training and development as directed by RLSS. Deliver NPLQ courses as required for the benefit of Service personnel.
6. Conduct the role of Establishment Disclosure Officer by managing the Disclosure & Baring Certificate spreadsheet for all personnel in TEM.
