Christ Light Assemblies UK (CLASS UK), a multinational and independent Pentecostal Christian religious organisation based in Greater London, Erith area of England, is seeking to fill the vacant role of a minister to take charge of our evangelism and mission ministry of the church. This role is fundamental to fulfilling our evangelistic mission that CLASS UK stands for: “To Go ye into the World and Preach the Gospel”.
Job Role: Minister of Religion - Youth training and Development
Reporting to: Minister-in-Charge
Location: Erith, Greater London, UK
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Minister-in-Charge with the following
responsibilities.
Job descriptions
To work as a youth pastor, lead and build opportunities within our youth department that enables young people to learn about Christian faith and choose to adopt the master, Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour.
• To pastor, lead and grow teams to deliver youth work in the churches South East London and Kent communities.
• To preach, teach and float Christian activities, and involve in training and building youth with good character and fear of God
• To, as a youth minister and preacher, envision, equip, support and resource youth work in the churches and communities
• To plan, stage, teach and train in youth events – youth club, youth empowerment training, for young people within our catchment area
• To, as Pastor in charge of youth department, organise and co-ordinate Christian summer youth camps for CLASS UK Youth
• To liaise with and liaise other church-based youth religious workers and youth organisations such as the Scouts, Girls’ Guides etc in the area
• To liaise with the community chaplain in building links within the catchment areas
• As youth pastor, he will be required to work in partnership with the church leadership to produce a strategic plan for the ongoing youth and young persons' ministries of the church
• To prepare, under the supervision of the Minister-in-Charge, youth funding applications for specific youth projects and submit to the relevant funding bodies
• To, as a youth pastor, present and represent the interests and views of the youth to the wider church.
Interested applicants must be:
An ordained and practising Christian and minister within Pentecostal Christian environment.
Must be experienced of community evangelism and missionary work within a Pentecostal Christian environment.
Experienced in relevant publicity and outreach activities.
Have the willingness and ability to work as part of a team
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high energy and a positive attitude.
Have a degree or its equivalent preferably in a social-science or humanities discipline.
Knowledge and ability to communicate in at least one other language other than English will be desirable.
Duration of employment: Permanent. Working Hours: Full time (35h/w). Highly Flexible 5 days that will of necessity include Sundays, evenings and weekends.
Salary: £22,500 PA
