Summary
Purchasing Administrator
Are you organised, adaptable, and ready to take on a varied role in a fast-paced office environment? This opportunity as a Purchasing Administrator is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of front-of-house duties, admin support, and supplier coordination.
Working Hours: 4 day week Mon-Thurs 8am-5.30pm (36 hours and no Fridays)
You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team where your contribution will make a real difference. Key responsibilities:
Greeting visitors and managing reception
Handling incoming phone calls and providing general support
Creating purchase orders and sending order acknowledgements
Generating quotes based on materials lists
Comparing supplier quotes and maintaining supplier records
Tracking deliveries and following up on outstanding orders
Monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies when needed
Coordinating with internal teams to understand purchasing needs
Supporting the accounts team with administrative tasks
Ensuring procurement processes are followed accurately
What we’re looking for:
Clear communication and good interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and good organisational habits
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and standard office systems
Previous experience in administration or purchasing is desirable
Able to work independently and use initiative
