Summary

Your new company

As a Credit Controller, you'll take ownership of a dedicated customer ledger and be responsible for driving timely collections, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring outstanding debts are managed efficiently. Your day-to-day will include direct communication with customers, managing warning processes, coordinating enforcement actions, and collaborating with internal teams to develop unified recovery strategies. This position is based in the City of Westminster.

Your new role

  • Contacting all debtors 2-3 times monthly and issuing scheduled warning letters
  • Coordinating monthly lockout processes and supporting enforcement actions
  • Recommending write-offs with clear reasoning
  • Promoting Direct Debit uptake with clients and teams
  • Taking shared ownership of team-wide tasks such as national accounts, reporting, AML support, invoice monitoring, and bank processing
  • Handling legal case submissions, credit balance write-offs, and customer negotiations
  • Maintaining meticulous records and preparing statements, invoices, and contact logs
  • Collaborating closely with managers across the business to align on collection strategies

Essential skills & traits:

  • Strong self-motivation and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with effective negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and solid general IT knowledge
  • A collaborative mindset and sharp attention to detail


Desirable extras:

  • Presentation or public speaking experience
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing tools
  • Experience in either property or retail sector
