We are seeking an exceptional finance leader to join our Board as Director of Finance and Estates, responsible not only for the Trust’s financial health but for ensuring our ambitious estate redevelopment programme supports safe, modern, and compassionate care.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performingDeputy Director of Finance ready for their first Executive role, or an experiencedFinance Directorseeking a rewarding lateral move into a progressive, values-driven Trust.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a strategic, values-driven leader with:
• A strong finance background in NHS or similarly complex public sector environments.
• Experience leading capital investment or estates portfolios (or the aptitude to grow quickly into this area).
• Political and commercial acumen, with the ability to influence at all levels and across organisational boundaries.
• A collaborative leadership style grounded in compassion, curiosity and accountability.
• A passion for improving services and outcomes through inclusive, community-based delivery

· Takeresponsibilityforsupportingdeliveryofourfifthobjective, to nurture partnerships to deliver social value.
· Workingwithotherstoensure that the Trust generates a persistent 1-1.5% reserve to invest each year in the delivery of the strategy.
· Ensurethatcorporatesupportservices,includingfinance and estates, are fully aligned to the strategy in everything that they strive to do.
· Actasarolemodelforleadersandprovidementorshipand leadership development asnecessary.
· Enable,motivateandempowerfinance professionalstodemonstrate personal and professional leadership through their work.
· Identify,promoteandspreadbestpracticein applying our financial systems and processacrosstheTrustandworktoeradicatepoor practice.
· Support team leaders within the department to recruit and retain local people with talent, and to ensure that the department has a diversity which best reflects our wider population.
