JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I am 22 year old woman and I live in Sully with my Mum and Dad, two sisters, and three dogs. I enjoy baking, cooking, and playing with my dogs. I enjoy watching Netflix.
I am good at making people laugh, being kind, cheering people up, thinking of others before myself, and enjoy doing things for others.
I get very anxious about going out, and I sometimes feel a bit down in myself. I have Adrenal Insufficiency and I carry an emergency injection. You may need to have training to administer my injection in case of an emergency.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the job is to assist me in gaining independence in going out and being encouraged to go out to expand my experiences and to improve my confidence. I'd like to start using the bus, but I would need support with doing that.
HOURS OF WORK
6 hours per week - weekdays
RATE OF PAY
£14.76 per hour
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Encouraging me, reassuring me, and helping me to keep calm and relaxed
Supporting me to access social activities such as the cinema and bowling
Ensuring I am safe at all times
Providing me with companionship/being a mentor
Suggesting new ideas of what we could do, and be patient that I may need encouragement
I get tired very easily and need a lot of rest breaks
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
You must be capable and sensible to work on your own initiative
Being trustworthy is compulsory
Car driver and owner is essential
Someone who doesn’t mind pets in the home
Experience working with children with anxiety and depression
Someone who is funny and talkative and encouraging.
I have Adrenal Insufficiency and I carry an emergency injection. You may need to have training to administer my injection in case of an emergency.
Someone who is patient and understanding as I have a poor memory and short attention span.
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. During the first instance, a trial period of 6 months is necessary. Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly basis on receipt of a payslip from the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holiday and holiday pay.
Business class insurance is required on your car, if applicable.
My mother will be your employer, not Dewis CIL.
This post is subject to an enhanced police check at no cost to you.
