ABOUT US
At Spurgeons, our People and Culture team brings together HR Operations, HR Business Partnering, Payroll, Recruitment and Learning and Development, to support every stage of the employee experience. This role sits within the HR Operations Team, which leads on employee lifecycle processes from new starters to leavers and day to day HR administration. We work collaboratively across the organisation, upholding Spurgeons values of compassion, fairness and commitment in everything we do.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As HR Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in our HR Operations team, delivering a smooth, accurate admin support across the full employee and volunteer lifecycle.
You will:
Manage onboarding from offer letters to DBS and Right to Work checks
Process starters, leavers and changes via our HR system (Cascade)
Respond to HR queries from colleagues and managers in a timely manner
Post job adverts, arrange interviews and handle applicant communications
Manage training requests and bookings and updating the Learning Management System (LMS)
Prepare accurate correspondence, reports and mail merges
Maintain volunteer records, including DBS checks
Contribute to team priorities, planning and continuous improvement.
You will report to the HR Operations Manager and work closely with HR Admin and Payroll colleagues, as part of the wider People and Culture team.

You’ll bring:
-Experience in administration or customer facing roles
-Strong IT and systems confidence, including Microsoft Office
-Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
-Clear written and verbal communication skills
-A collaborative mindset and can-do attitude
-An understanding of GDPR and confidentiality
