Description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Prosecutions Lawyer (PO5) to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for prosecuting criminal cases on behalf of the state, ensuring that justice is upheld and that offenders are held accountable for their actions. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our legal initiatives, and you will work closely with law enforcement agencies, victims, and witnesses. As a Prosecutions Lawyer, you will have the opportunity to present cases in court, advocate for crime victims, and engage in plea negotiations, making a direct impact on the legal landscape. Responsibilities
Represent the state in criminal prosecutions in court
Conduct legal research to support case strategies and litigation efforts
Prepare and draft legal documents including complaints, motions, and briefs
Engage in plea negotiations with defense attorneys
Review police reports and evidence to assess cases
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders
Advise victims and witnesses on legal procedures and their rights
Stay updated on changes in criminal law and legal processes to ensure compliance and effectiveness
Requirements
Jurisdictional admission to practice law
At least 5 years of experience in criminal prosecution or related legal field
Strong understanding of criminal law and procedures
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Commitment to ethical standards and professional conduct
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £38.11
