Summary

Are you a hands-on creative with a flair for textiles and a love of all things 3D, ceramic, and print? Are you passionate about supporting students as they explore, experiment, and create?

We’re looking for a multi-skilled, enthusiastic Technical Support Facilitator to join our inspiring and diverse Art & Design Faculty. In this role, you'll provide technical guidance and practical support across a range of specialist areas, including:

- Textile Workshop Print Room
- Ceramics Studio
- 3D Workshop
- Wider Art & Design Faculty Spaces

Whether it’s helping a student screen print their first design, guiding safe use of workshop equipment, or assisting in a clay throwing session, you’ll be at the heart of creative learning to give students an outstanding educational experience.

What You’ll Do:

- Deliver technical support across multiple creative disciplines.
- Maintain equipment and ensure safe working practices in studios and workshops.
- Collaborate with academic staff to support dynamic, practical learning experiences.
- Encourage student independence, experimentation, and craftsmanship.

What We’re Looking For:

- Strong technical knowledge of textiles processes (e.g. sewing, dyeing, fabric manipulation).
- Experience of a wide range of art and design techniques from using a 3D printer, use of woodwork machinery to print making and ceramics.
- A textiles/fashion background would be of particular interest.
- A can-do attitude, with great problem-solving and communication skills.
- Prior experience in an education or creative workshop environment is a bonus!
