Summary

Repairs Call Handler

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Office-based in Finsbury Park
Type: Ongoing Temporary Contract
Salary: £16.22 per hour (umbrella rate)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Repairs Call Handler / Call Centre Operator to join our busy team supporting social housing clients. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service by assisting residents with booking and managing repairs and maintenance appointments. This is a vital position where you will help ensure timely, efficient service to the people who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from residents regarding repairs and maintenance.


  • Accurately log repair requests into the system, capturing all necessary details.


  • Identify and diagnose repair issues based on residents' descriptions.


  • Allocate jobs to the appropriate contractors or internal teams.


  • Prioritise emergency and urgent repairs, ensuring swift resolution.


  • Deliver outstanding customer service by actively listening, supporting, and keeping residents informed.


  • Liaise effectively with contractors, housing officers, and other key stakeholders to ensure timely repairs.


  • Manage and resolve customer complaints professionally, escalating when required.


  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on the housing management system.


    What We’re Looking For:

    • Previous experience in a call handling, contact centre, or customer service role.


    • Knowledge of social housing or property repairs
