Summary
WorkwithYorkshire are working with a law client who have an excellent opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their team.
This is a full time, permanent role based in Leeds, with the possibility to work one day per week from home.
A competitive pay rate is on offer.
You will provide administrative support to Fee Earners, dealing with conveyancing transactions in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures.
Duties:
Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Dealing with general conveyancing tasks.
Administer filing relating to conveyancing matters including, daily filing, opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
Under supervision, to carry out basic fee earner duties such as taking detailed client instructions, drafting basic emails and letters.
Dealing with post completion matters including lodging land registry applications and dealing with the Inland Revenue in relation to SDLT.
Ensuring confidentiality and security of the Firm’s and clients documentation.
Key skills and experience;
Previous experience in conveyancing or a related legal field
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
