Summary
Business Administrator – Prison Industries Workshops
Are you an organised multitasker with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a proactive Business Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our prison-based industrial workshops.
Working at the heart of the workshops' success, you’ll provide essential administrative support to our vocational instructors—ensuring everything from stock levels to budget sheets are on track, accurate, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and clerical support across multiple workshop departments
Order and manage stock, tools, and materials to meet production needs
Assist with finance processing, invoicing, and tracking workshop expenditure
Maintain accurate records relating to workshop output, attendance, and learner progress
Support instructors with scheduling, document preparation, and internal communications
Contribute to maintaining a safe, professional and rehabilitative working environment
What We’re Looking For:
Strong experience in office administration, ideally in a production or education environment
Confident with Microsoft Office and digital record-keeping systems
A methodical approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and supporting rehabilitation
