Summary
Neway is currently seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our client based with Southern Housing.
Start Date: 30 June 2025 Hours: 45 hours per week
Southern Housing, in collaboration with the Estate Services team, is seeking a physically fit and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to support a mobile team during a period of long-term sickness cover.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out grounds maintenance duties across various estates on the Isle of Wight
Operating strimmers, hedge cutters, and pedestrian mowers
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in outdoor communal areas
Working collaboratively within a team under the direction of the Estate Services operations team
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in grounds maintenance
Confident in the use of relevant equipment (e.g., strimmers, hedge cutters, mowers)
Good physical fitness due to the manual nature of the work
Ability to work efficiently as part of a mobile team across multiple sites
