We are seeking an experienced and motivated Short Break Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support for children and young people in a safe and nurturing environment. This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual who is looking to contribute to a service that transforms lives.
As an Short Break Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the home in ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. You ensure the delivery of person-centred care and provide a wide range of opportunities for our young people in our children’s home, at our community base or out in the community.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a dedicated and resilient professional who thrives in a challenging but highly rewarding environment. This post requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with good communication skills. You will need to be organised and confident in interactions with children and young people.
It is essential that you are kind, caring, patient, resilient and can see the need behind behaviours. You should be committed to improving the life chances of the children and young people and share our ethos of providing fun, opportunities and independence for our young people.
You will already hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent as determined by Children's Homes Regulations) or be willing to work to achieve this qualification following appointment within two years.
Effective Induction, supervision, and training will be provided to all staff.
The work involves shift patterns, including weekends, sleep in and Bank Holidays.
