Description
We are seeking a committed and proactive Health, Safety and Wellbeing Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures that comply with industry regulations and best practices. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting regular risk assessments and audits, providing training and resources for employees, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. As the first point of contact for health and safety matters, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and improve workplace safety. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Support the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for staff.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near misses.
Coordinate health and safety meetings and assist in the preparation of reports for management.
Serve as the point of contact for health and safety inquiries and concerns from employees.
Collaborate with departments to establish and monitor key performance indicators for health and safety initiatives.
Requirements
A background in health and safety, or a related field such as occupational health, environmental science, or human resources.
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with safety management software.
A proactive attitude towards promoting a positive safety culture and employee wellbeing.
