Summary
General Maintenance Operative
To provide an exceptional high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within
Domestic and Office environment and with the utmost regard for customer service.
Undertake General Handyman and semi-skilled duties including, but not limited to: Minor Building Fabric Repairs, Decorating Tasks.
Qualifications / Skills / Attributes Required:
-Proven ability and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
-Ability to work to tight deadlines.
-The ability to work at heights and have or willing to take IPAF/MEWPs Certificate.
-Carpentry, painting, Bricklaying and decorating NVQ / City & Guilds qualification is preferred.
-Fire Door Maintenance
-Possess a working knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation.
-Must have a general all-round knowledge of / or experience in Building Maintenance aspects.
-Possess a current driving licence.
-Able to work well as part of a highly motivated team
-Strong and effective communication skills

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-To maintain all internal and external building fabric to a high standard in accordance with the Planned Maintenance system and reactive work requests
-Complete works to a standard that is consistent within a high status environment
-To assist in carrying out risk assessments and safe working methods in relation to all workthat is carried out.
-To store and use safely painting materials, adhesives, etc and to comply with COSHH data sheets.
-Attend meetings as requested.
-To carry out emergency repairs to various buildings etc when requested by Supervisor/line manager.
-Ability, (or willing to be trained), climb ladders/scaffold/mobile access equipment.
-To make themselves available for on-site and external training courses.
