Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Officer (Grade 5) to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people in a residential setting. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
Develop and implement individualized care plans catering to each child's specific needs.
Build trusting and respectful relationships with children and their families.
Facilitate educational and recreational activities that promote personal development.
Monitor and report on the children's progress, behavior, and emotional wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, educators, and health professionals.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in care.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
A relevant qualification in child care, social work, or a related field, such as a Diploma in Residential Childcare.
Experience working in a residential childcare, youth work, or similar environment.
Strong understanding of child development principles and the ability to apply them in practice.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and staff.
Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience, empathy, and appropriate intervention strategies.
Commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children and young people.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £14.13
