Summary

Our client Scottish Power Renewables are currently recruiting for a WTG Senior Contract Manager to join their team based in London or Glasgow on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced Contract Manager who has experience of dealing with Turbine Supply Contracts working for major developers. Main Purpose of Job

The WTG Senior Contract Manager is a critical role within the Offshore Business focussing on the delivery of large-scale offshore wind projects in the UK and overseas,

The WTG Senior Contract Manager would work closely with the WTG Lead Contract Manager and EA3 Principal Contract Manager in ensuring the successful delivery of the offshore installation package by overseeing contractual obligations, cost control, and scope compliance.

This role will place a strong emphasis on WTG Contract Management expertise, valuing prior experience in similar large-scale projects where cost management, valuation, and contractual oversight have driven project success.

The individual will be working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in Europe during development.

Key Tasks

Scope Delivery and Contract Execution:
Oversee the execution of contractual deliverables, ensuring the timely and accurate fulfilment of the project’s scope, while addressing any contractual issues or deviations to safeguard project objectives.

Cost Monitoring and Valuation:
Manage all quantity surveying responsibilities, including progress measurements, cost tracking, and valuation of works completed, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and accurate invoicing.

Variation and Claims Management:
Identify, assess, and manage variations, claims, and changes to scope in close coordination with project stakeholders, ensuring all submissions are documented, justified, and negotiated effectively to protect the company’s position.

Progress Reporting and Stakeholder Alignment:
Provide detailed cost and contract performance reports, ensuring transparency and alignment with internal teams to facilitate smooth execution and successful project delivery.

Key Criteria

Essential

Proven Expertise in WTG Packages across similar projects as East Anglia Three
A strong track record in managing WTG contracts and quantity surveying within offshore installation projects or comparable complex infrastructure environments.

Comprehensive Knowledge of Contractual Frameworks:
Deep understanding of contractual standards (e.g., FIDIC, BIMCO) and the ability to administer, negotiate, and ensure compliance with project contracts effectively.

Advanced Quantity Surveying Skills:
Proficiency in cost estimation, progress valuation, budget management, and change control processes to maintain financial and contractual accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:
Capability to assess risks, manage claims, and resolve disputes, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Effective Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring transparency in all contractual and financial matters.

Key Interfaces

Collaboration with Project Stakeholders
Maintain regular communications and coordination with internal teams especially Legal and Insurance departments.

Engagement with external contractors and subcontractors
Act as the primary point of contact from the Contractor´s contract management team.
