Job Title: Maintenance Craftsman 4 - 8 Reports to: Estates Officer Accountable to: Estates Manager (Operational) Band: 4 Unit/Department: Estates CSU Directorate: Estates & Facilities Location[1] Trust Wide AfC Job No: 1382 JOB PURPOSE Craftsmen will be employed on work appropriate to their core specialist skills. They will have the ability to fulfil their duties with a total commitment to versatility and will be suitably trained to acquire elements of other skills with the intention of reaching levels of flexibility and competence to enable them to achieve and apply the ability where required. Responsible for the safe maintenance, assembly, dismantling and repair of equipment others may use. Where appropriate they will be called on to provide technical support to Managers and Team Leaders A large proportion of work will be internally generated through building Management Systems and through direct customer interface. JOB DIMENSIONS Working to standards laid down in Trust policies and legislation to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff and visitors Work with clinical staff to give non-clinical advice, information and guidance. Liaise with all internal departments and external contractors and suppliers.
