Summary

Deputy Nurse Manager – £23 per Hour – 40 hours per week

Our client is looking for a dedicated Deputy Nurse Manager to join their warm and welcoming nursing home, set in a beautiful, purpose-built environment providing exceptional residential and nursing care to older adults. As the Deputy Nurse Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the daily running of the home, working closely with the Home Manager to maintain high standards of clinical care, lead and support the nursing and care teams, and ensure the wellbeing of every resident.

This role offers the chance to combine hands-on clinical nursing with strategic leadership, making a real difference in the lives of older adults.

What We’re Looking For:

  • RGN or RMN qualified with valid NMC registration
  • Previous senior experience in a nursing home or older adults care setting
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Confident in clinical decision-making and care planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player with a calm, compassionate approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and supervise the nursing and care teams, promoting a positive and respectful workplace culture
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents
  • Support with care planning, assessments and risk management
  • Monitor standards, ensure compliance with CQC regulations, and participate in audits
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families and external professionals
  • Support the Home Manager in staff development, training, and rota management
