The role: We are seeking a full time Planning Lawyer to the Corporate Team to a busy and high achieving Legal Services department. The client offers a supportive environment within a friendly and progressive team with Lexcel accreditation. The Council operates a flexible working policy and hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on Town and Planning matters including advising and drafting Section 106 agreements including in relation to biodiversity net gain and bi-lateral and unilateral agreements.
Draft and advise on Town and Country Planning matters
Advise on certificates of lawful use
Attend and advise at planning committees on planning and procedural matters
Deliver legal advice departments as required by the Legal Services Team Manager and Director of Law and Governance
Represent the Council in meetings with departments, agencies, and legal representatives
What the client is looking for:
Qualified Planning Lawyer with relevant experience
Experience in Local Government or the Public Sector is essential
Desirable:
Availability to attend planning committees
