What skills and experience we're looking for
Required for a September start:
The Governors of our school wish to appoint a dedicated, highly skilled teacher to work full time in our Foundation Stage, initially for one year to cover a maternity absence.
Stradbroke is a vibrant learning community with approximately 500 pupils, including a 102 place nursery and a 19 place Integrated Resource Unit for children with complex SEND needs. The school was judged at the end of the summer term in 2022 as continuing to be a Good school in every measure. We are now looking to appoint somebody who can help us on our journey to becoming outstanding.
We are looking to appoint a committed and professional teacher to provide creative and innovative ways of developing early years learning for all children. You will be responsible for delivering high standards of teaching and learning, leading to excellent progress for pupils within the early years.
The successful candidate will possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a cohesive wider network of adults who support the children in foundation stage. Strong communication skills with parents and outside professional colleagues is essential. It is desirable that candidates have an awareness of the Early Years curriculum and also have knowledge of children with SEND. You will be a good team player; be positive and enthusiastic and above all determined to make a difference to the lives of pupils in our community.
