Summary

Nursery Room Leader – New Malden, KT3

Salary: Up to £14.25 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time and All Year Round, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner ready to step into a leadership role? Do you have a passion for supporting children’s development in a creative, nurturing, and inclusive environment?

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our client’s nursery in New Malden (KT3). This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a room where children thrive, and practitioners feel supported and inspired.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent (essential).
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader, Nursery Team Leader, or senior practitioner.
  • Solid knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for providing outstanding care and early education.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, inclusion, and child-centred learning.

What You’ll Do as a Nursery Room Leader:

  • Take responsibility for the daily running of your room, maintaining high standards of care and education.
  • Lead a team of nursery practitioners, offering mentoring, support, and supervision.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Build strong partnerships with families, ensuring excellent communication and continuity of care.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, in line with safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies.
  • Bring fresh ideas to enhance the nursery curriculum and support continuous improvement.
