Summary

Job Title: Lead HVAC Engineer
Location: Essex & London (Field-Based)
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Overview:
Our client, a well-established HVAC services provider based in Chelmsford, is seeking a Lead HVAC Engineer to join their team. Operating across Essex and London, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to step into a senior role with responsibility for mentoring one apprentice and leading varied installation and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out and oversee HVAC installations, servicing, and maintenance across commercial and residential sites.


  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and to a high standard.


  • Supervise and support one apprentice, offering hands-on mentorship and technical guidance.


  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company quality standards.


  • Maintain clear communication with clients and provide accurate reporting on job progress and outcomes.


  • Represent the company professionally on all client sites.


    Candidate Requirements:

    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in HVAC or equivalent qualification (essential).


    • Solid experience in a similar HVAC role.


    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


    • Comfortable leading jobs independently and managing a junior team member.


    • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.


    • Full UK driving licence.
