West Lothian Council has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Organisational Development Trainer/Assessor to contribute to the development, management and delivery of organisational development strategies that are directly linked to our objectives and that enable the service to respond to changing business requirements.


As a training officer you will identify, deliver and review all Training Courses required within the support service units and work with the Corporate Occupational Health and Safety team to ensure compliance to all legislative requirements is adhered to.


The skills and experience you must have:



  • Demonstrable experience of training a diverse workforce ranging from craft and operative to managerial staff is also expected.

  • Demonstrable experience of proactive working.

  • Display initiative and able to remain positive and enthusiastic

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous review and improvement

  • Managing a complex and varied workload.

  • Computer literate being familiar with Microsoft Office, email and use of the Internet as a research facility.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Full Driving Licence.

  • Excellent Organisational Skills
