Redbridge Music Service, part of Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Business & Operations Support Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of its day-to-day services.
Working at the heart of a busy and creative hub, you will be responsible for supporting the administrative, financial, and operational functions of the service. This role involves working closely with the Music Services Senior Leadership Team and collaborating with wider teams and managers across Vision, as well as external stakeholders, requiring strong coordination, communication, and organisational skills.
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and respected Music service that provides high-quality music education to children and adults across the borough. Your leadership and expertise will ensure that the systems and structures behind the scenes operate efficiently, allowing our teaching teams to focus on what they do best: inspiring the next generation of musicians.
Job requirements:
Managing the financial processes including supplier payments, invoicing, direct debits (DFC), budget monitoring, grant reporting and financial year-end procedures
Overseeing school billing, income reconciliation, and debt management
Leading on the annual academic roll-over processes, including pricing structures, system updates, and communications
Supervising administrative, facilities, and cleaning staff and liaising with contractors, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Supporting HR and payroll processes through coordination tasks, such as managing monthly teacher pay claims and tracking absence reporting, before submitting to the HR team for processing.
Working with the corporate marketing team to support website content, promotional materials, and communications
Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining a secure, welcoming, and well-managed environment
Skills and Experience Requirement
Proven experience in business operations, finance administration, or service management
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex processes
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and adapting quickly to change in a busy office environment
Confident communication and leadership skills, with experience supervising teams
A collaborative and flexible approach, particularly during peak periods such as the academic year-end
A commitment to high standards of customer service and continuous improvement
In return, we can offer the successful candidates a company pension scheme, annual performance rewards, generous annual leave, employee assistance programme and GP referral scheme. In addition, we offer our staff free gym, swim and spa membership at all Vision sites; Corporate Health Cash Plan (which provides free access to essential health care and valuable health and wellbeing services); employee recognition scheme; cycle to work and electric leasing car scheme.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
