About the role:

We’re recruiting for up to 3 Service Assessors here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Service Standards team.

The Service Assessor plays a critical role in ensuring that digital services developed across the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) adhere to digital service standards. This position involves a continuous assessment process to guarantee that all digital services meet the highest standards of user-centred design (UCD) and functionality. The Service Assessor will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert feedback and recommendations, ensuring that digital services are not only compliant but also user-friendly and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and regular reviews of digital services to ensure they comply with government and MOJ service standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to provide constructive feedback and actionable recommendations to ensure the team are adhering to the Service standards and following best practice.
• Document assessment findings comprehensively and communicate them effectively to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor the implementation of recommendations and track improvements over time to ensure continuous enhancement of digital services.
• Stay updated with the latest digital service standards, as well as best practices in digital service delivery.
• Provide training and support to teams on service standards and assessment processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to standards.

Person Specification:
Essential criteria:
• Proven experience working as part of a digital UCD multidisciplinary team as a product/delivery manager or service assessor.
• Strong understanding of government service standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Uses evidence and insight to identify improvements, risks, and opportunities, ensuring recommendations align with strategic priorities.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences, including stakeholders
• Builds positive working relationships by being collaborative, reliable, and respectful of others’ contributions. Actively shares knowledge and ideas, supports colleagues to achieve shared goals, and is willing to step in and help where needed to ensure collective success
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, whilst maintaining a commitment to quality
Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for BPSS clearance
