The Payroll Service Coordinator will be the first point of contact for all employee payroll queries, ensuring each one is accurately logged, tracked, and followed through to resolution.

Job Description

This is a role where delivering exceptional customer service is key, as you’ll be supporting ISS colleagues with payroll-related issues in a courteous, clear, and professional manner.

You’ll be responsible for manually re-keying information, so strong attention to detail is essential, even when the tasks feel repetitive - precision matters here.

While the role requires a methodical and focused approach, it also offers a great opportunity to build your expertise and grow within a large, supportive payroll function with real potential for progression.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately input starter, leaver and change data for fortnightly payroll using Time & Attendance systems
Conduct validation checks and process additional hours and manual timesheets
Maintain and record absence data for hourly employees
Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries
Ensure seasonal adjustments and AfC terms are processed correctly
Provide high-quality customer service throughout the payroll process
Support the Payroll Delivery Manager with ad hoc tasks during critical payroll periods

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Demonstrates passion and skill for delivering first-class customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Proficient in IT systems, including Excel and Outlook; confident working with data
Organised and able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
Flexible, adaptable, and supportive team player
Aware of data privacy requirements and handles employee data securely
