Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for someone who:
• Enjoys helping all children to learn through a range of activities, including those with barriers to their learning
• communicates and works effectively as part of a team, in partnership with the teaching team and other support staff
• can support children in their learning and pastorally, making learning exciting and helping children to reach their potential
• works well under direction, but also shows initiative and can take ownership of tasks
• has a good level of literacy and numeracy skills
• has a willingness to undertake lunchtime supervision
• is a committed Catholic or committed to supporting the Catholic life and mission of the school
• demonstrates a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills, and is well organised with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
• can, when necessary, cover classes and deliver the work that is planned and has experience across primary school
• has experience working as a Teaching Assistant throughout a primary school setting
• holds a Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning (or equivalent eg HLTA) or similar
