Summary
Relevant professional qualification in mental health nursing, psychotherapy, counselling or above in a relevant field. IAPT or therapeutic training highly desirable, for example; Post graduate qualification in CBT, BA counselling or psychotherapy. Direct experience as practitioner in a mental health setting with children. Knowledge, skills and experience of how to work therapeutically with Children & Young People with anxiety, depression, and other mental health related problem issues. Ability to provide effective interventions, experience of facilitating group work, training, consultation and assessments including risk assessments. This role will involve working with vulnerable Children & Young People with risk behaviours and safeguarding concerns. Knowledge and existing skills regarding a range of therapeutic interventions and their application to practice for a wide range of mental health presentations. Including a sound knowledge of theory and its application to evidence based practice.
