We are looking for an Administrative Officer to manage the administrative and financial operation within the secondary school office, provide advice to SMT on matters pertaining to financial, HR, administrative policies and procedures as operated by West Lothian Council.
The Post Holder will manage ad co-ordinate administrative operations and financial functions, determining priorities, allocating work, monitoring performance, compiling reports, maintaining records and ensuring that services operate in an efficient and effective manner.
The skills and experience you must have:
- Proven numeracy and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills verbally and in writing
- Management of ICT applications – in particular SEEMIS
- Knowledge of SQA process and/or the academic cycle
- Financial and Budgetary Management
- Supervising Staff, in particular team building and leading staff through change
- Strong effective customer care skills required to deal with front line customers at various levels externally and internally
- Flexible and adaptable and be able to work on own initiative in a complex office environment, working under pressure with competing demands and ability to prioritise own workload
- Implement and maintain systems to create an efficient and effective office environment to meet the needs of in house and environmental demands
- Contribute as an active team member to achieve objectives and goals set by the school and WLC
- Proactive in responding to new challenges
