Summary
We are currently recruiting for experienced Theatre Practioners/Theatre Nurses within our Theatre team.Our area is committed to providing a high standard of patient care from 11 specialist theatres, 6 day unit theatres as well as initiating acute and chronic pain services.
You must hold passion, enthusiasm and commitment to provide patient centered care.
Our service requires flexible and motivated staff to cover our 24 hour service. We understand everyone has individual needs and that work life balance creates a healthier and more positive team.
We have a unique induction program waiting for you from the day you start. We offer a supernumerary program for all new team members. We continuously work with you to develop your skills across specialties; we are here to support your career progression including Mentorship and advance practice modules. We are developing rotational posts to encompass all aspects of patient care.
We have a new interactive simulation room for Anaesthetics and surgical scenario training. We have planned in house simulation training every month which includes anaphylaxis, paediatric emergencies and major haemorrhage and includes all members of the MDT.
• Maintain a high standard of patient focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
• Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
• Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient
• Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct
• Undertake duties on different wards/departments as and when required by service demands
• Demonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures
