LTF Recruitment are working with a secondary school in Derby (DE24) that is eager to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to support Key Stage 3 students with special educational and behavioural needs. This role is crucial in helping students overcome challenges, develop positive learning behaviours, and achieve their long-term goals.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with identified KS3 students, implementing targeted interventions to support behaviour and emotional regulation.
- As a Behaviour Mentor you must collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to promote positive behaviour strategies within the classroom.
- Build strong relationships with students, listening to their needs and providing structured support to help them succeed.
- Use adaptive strategies to manage challenging behaviours, ensuring students are engaged and making progress.
- Set and monitor individual behaviour improvement plans, working closely with pastoral teams and parents where necessary.

Requirements:
- Experience working with Key Stage 3 students with SEN and behavioural needs in a school or similar setting.
- A relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, Health and Social Care, SEN, or Behaviour Support is desirable.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to working with young people.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills to support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
