TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND college in Hounslow, supporting with their recruitment for a SENCO. The College is a specialist college for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) students who are committed to offering educational, vocational, and social opportunities for our students in their communities. The successful candidate will work with the Headteacher and therapy team to determine the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision.
The school is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to take on this role for a long-term placement. The successful SENCO will have day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the SEND policy and the co-ordination of specific provision made to support our pupils who have EHC plans. The SENCO will provide professional guidance to colleagues and liaise and work with staff, parents, and other agencies to make sure that pupils with SEN receive appropriate support and high-quality teaching.
The successful SENCO will have:
• QTS or equivalent
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the SENCO role.
• SEN experience in a SEND, Secondary School or College
