Can you give guidance to restore meaningful activities so that individuals can lead fulfilling lives within our community?



We have an exciting opportunity available within Adult Social Care Isle of Wight. We are seeking an enthusiastic, and self-motivated Occupational Therapist to join our community occupational therapy service.



The role encompasses the following:


Working across the Isle of Wight to provide OT input to a wide variety of disabled people including elderly, learning disabilities, dementia and neurological conditions.
Residents may initially need guidance through signposting to maintain their wellbeing and independence, to those who have complex health needs requiring further assessment.
Assess those that are Care Act eligible and providing equipment, advice and support, referrals for DFG’s.
You will have a caseload of clients and will work autonomously to complete assessments and follow up actions.
Knowledge of specialist equipment is essential, training can be given to the right candidate.

You will be supported by the team, provided with regular supervision. Flexible working and hybrid working



You will be part of a progressive team, using an enabling, adaptive approach, supporting people to live in their own homes where-ever possible, and in the least restrictive way. This may involve sign posting and giving information and advice, or the prescription of aids and adaptations where appropriate.
