As a Digital Skills Tutor at Westway Trust, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, learner-centred teaching and assessment to both employed and unemployed adult learners. You will provide engaging, interactive, and inclusive sessions, designed to build essential digital skills for work and everyday life. Your contributions will play a key role in helping individuals gain confidence and skills that will improve their social and professional lives.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons, workshops, and tutorials aligned with curriculum requirements.
Assess learners’ abilities, identify areas for improvement, and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Provide individual support to learners, offering one-on-one sessions when necessary.
Track learner progress and provide regular feedback, addressing any areas of underperformance.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum content and teaching strategies.
Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering learner participation and motivation.
Stay updated with the latest developments in teaching practices and the digital skills sector.
Undertake regular training and professional development, including mandatory safeguarding and Prevent training.

The Person
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in ICT or a related subject.
A teaching or training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS).
At least GCSE Grade C in English (or equivalent).
Experience in teaching ICT to adult learners and a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies.
The ability to adapt your teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage mixed groups of learners.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
