Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Job share and Term-time will be considered)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities (complete list found in Job Description)
• You will join SGS at an exciting time of growth and innovation, with a recent £7 million investment into a new STEM and Media Centre, a new Construction -based Apprenticeship training campus and a new Chief Executive Officer.
• You will be an integral member of a growing Career Professionals’ team of 10. A comprehensive package of continuous professional development via termly peer meetings and conference attendance will be made available to you
• Your careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) expertise is crucial as we widen student choice and assist them in unlocking their potential, alongside our academic and pastoral staff.
• You will collaboratively deliver a creative and engaging range of CEIAG activities, developing digital resources and tools and offering one-to-one guidance and group work to a diverse range of students. Your focus will mainly be on students aged 16 to 19, who need extra support and guidance in setting aspirational goals or being challenged to broaden their horizons.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications (complete list found in person specification)
• Qualified at or working towards a Level 6 or 7 Careers Guidance standard (or equivalent coaching qualification), with proven experience advising 16–19-year-old students,
• Knowledge and experience of Careers resources and/or services and providing support to enable clients to access learning or work
• Experience of working in a School or Further Education sector
• Confident in the use of Career software tools to supplement 1:1 guidance
• Confident in presenting and leading careers-related workshops to small groups
