This school is seeking a dependable, proactive, and hands-on School Caretaker to join their team. This is a vital role where you'll be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both pupils and staff. From routine maintenance to site security, your contribution will help ensure the school runs smoothly every day.
Key Duties:
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the school grounds and facilities.
- Managing site security, including opening and locking up.
- Performing regular health and safety checks.
- Supporting room setups, deliveries, and school events.
- Coordinating with external contractors and service providers.
Who we're looking for:
- Strong practical skills in maintenance, DIY, and site management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations (COSHH, fire safety, etc.)
- Reliable, adaptable, and self-motivated approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
