Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEN Support)
Hours of Post: 28.75 per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:45am to 3:30pm
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only
Salary Grade: Scale 5 (points 12 to 17) - £27,711 to £30,060 FTE
(salary will be pro rata to part time, term time hours - £18,417.35 to £19,978.55)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and work closely with our SENDCO. This role involves providing targeted one-to-one support for children with SEND, contributing to the development and delivery of SEN plans, covering some PPA in KS2, assisting with benchmarking and assessing reading and maths progress and leading small group interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 support for children with SEND, with a focus on SpLD.
Work directly under the guidance of the SENDCO to implement tailored interventions.
Conduct benchmarking and assessment of reading and maths skills.
Contribute to the creation and review of SEN plans and reports.
Maintain high standards of spoken and written English when communicating with staff, parents, and children.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
Skilled in benchmarking and assessing reading and maths.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
Self Motivated and pro-active.
SERI+ training would be an advantage
