Are you a passionate and qualified SENCO looking for a rewarding permanent role starting this September? We are seeking an exceptional Special Educational Needs Coordinator to join a thriving and inclusive secondary school in the vibrant borough of Lewisham.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our Special Educational Needs provision, ensuring all students achieve their full potential. You'll be responsible for identifying and assessing students with SEND, coordinating support, and working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong understanding of SEND code of practice and a proven track record of positively impacting student outcomes. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the school's SEND provision.
  • Overseeing the identification, assessment, and provision for students with SEND.
  • Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Working closely with teachers and teaching assistants to ensure effective differentiation and support.
  • Liaising with parents/carers, external agencies, and other professionals.
  • Keeping up-to-date with national and local SEND developments.
