Summary

Are you a positive, motivated professional who is ready for your next career move? If yes, please read on…..

Having invested well over the long-term, we are one of the most financially resilient councils in the country. This means we have the resources to make things happen and to drive an extensive development programme whose yields will underpin the economy and fund public services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Accounting Technician who is flexible and prepared to go the extra mile to work as a Finance Analyst in our busy Accountancy Team. We need a proactive person with a “can-do” attitude who is customer focused, collaborative in their approach and will continually seek alternative and different ways to develop processes and improve our service delivery.

You will play a key role in supporting financial management in the organization. This will include supporting capital monitoring and accounting and there will also be opportunities to get involved in all aspects of preparing for and producing the statutory accounts and returns, working with our external auditors and involvement with maintaining controls within the financial system.

You will need to be a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. A good working knowledge of core financial information systems coupled with excellent communication and financial modeling skills is essential.

For an informal discussion please contact: Simon Skeates, Corporate and Financial Planning Manager by email: simon.skeates@basingstoke.gov.uk
