Summary

As the Workshop Engineering Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and repair activities in the engineering workshop. You’ll ensure our fleet of buses is maintained to the highest safety and operational standards, keeping services running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of engineers and technicians in daily workshop operations
• Ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs
• Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Liaise with operations teams to ensure vehicle availability and reliability
• Assist in managing stock levels and ordering parts
• Keep accurate maintenance records and contribute to performance reports
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

About You:

• Time-served engineering technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (HGV or PCV)
• Proven experience in a supervisory or lead engineering role, ideally within the bus or transport industry
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions

• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends or call-outs when required
• PCV licence is desirable but not essential
