Kirkhill Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Broxburn. It is part of the Broxburn Academy Cluster. The school roll is currently 248, organised into 11 classes.
The school senior leadership team comprises of the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher and a Principal Teacher. The school office is staffed by an administration assistant.
Our mission statement supports our approach to developing the four capacities within Curriculum for Excellence and to support every learner in their wellbeing and development. We strive to do all we can to ensure that our children receive an excellent education. We encourage children to find pleasure in learning and playing together, to understand, respect and value the different cultures and backgrounds that enrich our school and its community.
Kirkhill Primary School is well supported by our parents. Parents work in close partnership with the school and provide support in identifying areas for improvement. There are supportive partnerships with local community groups.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
