Summary

Are you passionate about improving health outcomes for the people of Hull?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join us as an apprentice on the Public Health Apprenticeship Degree programme.
This role sits within a dynamic Public Health team, committed to improving health outcomes for Hull. It's an exciting time to join the team. You'll enjoy building positive working relationships with internal and external colleagues and key stakeholders.
The Public Health apprenticeship is a developmental route for job roles within the core Public Health workforce that enables the apprentice, on successful completion, to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health and be eligible to apply for UKPHR public health practitioner registration.
During your apprenticeship, you will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to work effectively in public health by achieving a series of learning objectives to become a competent practitioner. You will use your developing knowledge and skills to contribute to the implementation and delivery of health improvement programmes in a range of different settings.
The integrated degree is accredited by the University of West of England (UWE). The degree course is run over 3 years and will take the form of 1 virtual study day a week with the university and the rest of the time on placements, work and agreed study time.
Please visit Public Health Practitioner - BSc(Hons) Public Health - UWE Bristol: Courses for a breakdown of eligibility criteria from the University provider.
The successful candidate must not have any degree or Masters and must not be in the process of completing a professional registration.
We would love to hear from you if you are looking for an opportunity to take the first step in your career in public health.
