Summary
We are looking for a confident, organised and enthusiastic Summer Playscheme Administrator / Playworker to support the delivery of our busy summer programme. This hands-on role involves coordinating venue bookings, managing staff rotas, arranging cover for absences, overseeing play resources and equipment, and driving the van between locations. The role also includes sourcing and managing snacks and drinks, registering children in line with GDPR requirements, liaising with parents and carers, maintaining up-to-date paperwork and risk assessments, and recording key data including incident reports. Applicants must have training and experience in playwork or childcare, as well as strong administrative or project coordination skills. A DBS check, first aid certificate, and inclusion and diversity training are essential, though training can be provided. This is a 7-week fixed-term contract (25 hours per week) during the school summer holidays, and the successful applicant must be available for the full duration. Free playscheme places can be offered for staff members’ children.
