Summary
Conwy Youth, Engagement and Belonging is seeking to appoint a self-motivated and experienced individual with a passion to support young people to achieve. The successful candidate will share their time working within two primary schools and Community environment.
The purpose of the project is to:
• Help address attendance issues and the need for re-engagement with learning, issues which have been exacerbated due to Covid.
• Develop robust programmes of support to develop better educational outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds or who have other vulnerabilities.
• Support to improve family and home learning environment.
• Provide early intervention support and links to other support services where necessary, including supporting mental health and well-being.
• Help disadvantaged families have more capacity to support their child’s learning, this might involve signposting to other services such as help with addiction, income maximisation and adult education.
• Work with Education Welfare Officers, Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinators, Healthcare providers, Healthy Schools Co-ordinators, TRAC, Social Services, Leisure Services, Libraries, Youth Engagement and Progression Co-ordinators (EPCs), Youth Homelessness Co-ordinators, Third sector organisations, Employability Service and further education settings.
• Provide the Grant Coordinator with information needed for reports to senior Leadership and Welsh Government on the impact and progress of the project.
Work in partnership working with Conwy Family centres workers to provide a package of support for families, allowing parents/carers to access adult learning opportunities that would enable them to better support their children's learning, well-being or other benefits.
This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.

• Helpu teuluoedd difreintiedig i gael mwy o gapasiti i gefnogi dysg eu plentyn, gall hyn olygu cyfeirio at wasanaethau eraill fel cymorth gyda dibyniaeth, sicrhau cymaint o incwm â phosibl ac addysg oedolion.
• Gweithio gyda Swyddogion Lles Addysg, Cydlynwyr Anghenion Dysgu Ychwanegol, Darparwyr Gofal Iechyd, Cydlynwyr Ysgolion Iach, TRAC, y Gwasanaethau Cymdeithasol, y Gwasanaethau Hamdden, Llyfrgelloedd, Cydlynwyr Ymgysylltu a Datblygu Ieuenctid, Cydlynwyr Digartrefedd Ieuenctid, Sefydliadau’r Trydydd Sector, y Gwasanaeth Cyflogadwyedd a lleoliadau addysg bellach.
• Darparu’r wybodaeth sydd ei hangen i’r Cydlynydd Grant ar gyfer adroddiadau i Uwch Arweinwyr a Llywodraeth Cymru ar effaith a chynnydd y prosiect.
Gweithio mewn partneriaeth gyda gweithwyr canolfannau i deuluoedd Conwy i ddarparu pecyn o gefnogaeth ar gyfer teuluoedd, gan alluogi rhieni/gofalwyr i gael mynediad i gyfleoedd dysgu oedolion a fyddai’n eu galluogi i gefnogi dysg eu plant, eu lles neu fuddiannau eraill yn well.
