About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science to join a thriving secondary academy in Sheffield from September 2025. This is a full-time position, ideal for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire digital fluency, and prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st-century tech landscape.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A passion for student progress and digital literacy
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Skills:
- Coding proficiency in languages
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Strong data analysis for tracking pupil progress
- Curriculum planning and assessment design
- Effective communication with students, staff, and parents
- Collaborative skills for working within a department and cross-curricular teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Computer Science lessons to KS3-KS4
- Create engaging schemes of work aligned with national curriculum objectives
- Use data to monitor progress and set ambitious targets
- Contribute to the development and sharing of best teaching practice
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments and qualifications
- Develop pupils' digital skills, critical thinking, and online safety awareness
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers and pastoral staff
- Support the school's safeguarding and inclusion strategies
- Act as a role model for students in professional conduct and commitment
- Contribute to school-wide ICT initiatives and events
