East Riding College is part of the TEC Partnership, which is a large, innovative, dynamic and financially sound organisation.
The Apprenticeship Team are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Bricklaying Vocational Trainer Coach to join the well-established team. This is a fast-paced and diverse role, in which you will work closely with Apprentices, their employers and our management team to provide high quality and responsive training and development to apprentices as they develop their skills in the work environment.
Duties will include:
Providing training and development tailored to individual apprentice’s work environment which meets the needs of the Apprenticeship Standard.
Maintaining effective records of evidence in e-portfolio.
Conducting site visits to observe and support apprentice's practice.
Liaising with employers regarding all aspects of apprenticeships.
Ensuring apprentice progress reviews are conducted in a timely manner.
Preparing apprentices for Gateway and End Point Assessment.
Monitor apprentice progress and ensure that all support is in place to achieve a timely completion.
About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be computer literate and have strong organisational and administrative skills.
Candidates should have 5 years experience working in a Bricklaying and Construction role ideally working on domestic and commercial projects with experience of Civil Engineering practices and processes . Ideally candidates will hold:
Level 2 qualification in Bricklaying.
Level 2 in GCSE English and Maths.
ICT competency.
Level 3 qualification in Assessing Competency in the Workplace.
