£45,000 per annum, plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing
support, and flexible benefits scheme
About the Job
In this pivotal role you will leverage your expertise as an HR/L&D professional to own, develop, implement and coordinate
Unipart’s early career talent development programmes including: apprenticeships, graduates, year in industry, summer placements,
first movers and other careers initiatives required to support the development of our future talent pipeline. You’ll act as a
subject matter expert in early careers initiatives and all aspects of their running, ensuring our culture and values are core to
all our programs.
As the Emerging Talent Specialist, you will represent Unipart externally, promoting our employer brand to generate enhanced
awareness of who we are, what we do, our organisational values and the benefits of working with us, in addition to highlighting
specific opportunities to meet our aim of attracting, developing, and retaining the very best early careers talent.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll be responsible for:
* Program Development: Develop a holistic early talent development offering aligned with corporate plans, in conjunction with key
stakeholders
* Funding Management: Ensure funding is defined and in place for the programs and manage the Government Apprenticeship Levy
account
* Data and Metrics: Share relevant early careers data and metrics with HR and business stakeholders
* Outreach and Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions and industry organisations for
outreach and promotion
* Program Delivery and Improvement: Shape programs to meet organisational skills, development needs, implement development
activity, and evaluate program impact for future improvements
* Participant Support: Establish progress review processes, provide pastoral support, and run mentoring for early career roles
* Training Provider Management: Define training needs and ensure training providers are in place, working within procurement
frameworks
* Resourcing Strategy: Define and continuously improve the resourcing strategy for all early career entry points
* Selection and Onboarding: Collaborate with HR on effective selection methodologies and coordinate onboarding and induction of
early talent
* Diversity and Inclusion: Monitor diversity of intakes and develop action plans for underrepresented groups
About You
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this
role!
* Proven experience in the development and recruitment of early career talent
* Strong track record in the successful execution and delivery of early career talent programs
* A robust planner with the ability to proactively identify and communicate areas requiring additional support
* Excellent in developing stakeholder relationships at all levels, approaching situations with a firm yet supportive manner
* A creative problem solver with a strong bias for action
* Ability to thrive and contribute effectively within a fast-paced organisation
Our recruitment and selection process have been developed to ensure that it is consistent, fair and provides equality of
opportunity - all selection decisions are based solely on technical and behavioural competencies. We do not discriminate on the
grounds of race, colour, or nationality, ethnic or national origins, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital or
civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, disability, religion or belief, age or any other current or future protected
characteristic as defined in the current Equality Act of England and Wales. As an organisation we also promote an environment
which encourages diversity of characteristics and thought, where you feel included, safe and confident to be the best version of
yourself and do your best work every day.
