Job Title: Culture and Events Development Officer
Ref: Bristol 5270726
Pay rate: £17.79 per hour PAYE
You must be willing and able to work flexibly over a seven day per week operation, Sunday working will be a requirement.
Day to day its most likely to be 9am to 5pm, based in the market office. However, Sunday shifts will likely need to be more flexible, some starting at 8am and finishing at 5.30pm.
The role:
As part of a dynamic and responsive team, you will play a key role in ensuring that culture and event activities are developed correctly.
Your work will contribute to a range of strategic goals, ensuring initiatives are impactful, inclusive, and aligned with priorities.
Key Objectives:
Create local distinctiveness and activate and animate the selected high streets through a programme of activities that not only captures passing trade, but also attracts additional footfall and increases the amount of time people stay for
Deliver cultural projects or events that are inclusive, diverse, and easy to access that celebrate and engage with communities, businesses and stakeholders
Increase paid employment opportunities for creative practitioners, artists, and event professionals
Embed environmental sustainability and climate and ecological emergency priorities, raising awareness and addressing priorities through the proposed projects and activities
